The Table is an initiative that was conceived through a series of dreams in the summer of 2016. We journaled it and didn’t think much of it. After a time of centering prayer in February 2019, we outlined the concept, and together with a group of friends, birthed the Table. The Table was launched in May 2019.

OBJECTIVE

Host an intimate space for themed free flowing conversations among Christ followers of diverse cultural & ecumenical heritage, through personal story telling and raw experiences that create readiness, nudges toward receptive insight, and formational growth.

OCCURRENCE

Every 8 weeks

CONVERSATIONALIST

• People celebrating common faith

• People group of diverse culture & ecumenical background

• People who have been or are currently in an influential role at some cadre

• Informed guest conversationalist who could add value to the theme of the table

CULTURE

• Respect diverse perspectives

• Respect the privacy and sacredness of the stories and conversations

• Listen well and ask good questions

• Be empathetic

• Agree to disagree (when situations pose)

OUTCOME

• Each conversationalist or silent witness takes home wisdom gained from the time around the table

• Create readiness to face issues in the community
