Hello!
I am Grace.
Here’s a peek into my trail —
the way i see it…
I was born and raised in the Eastern Hemisphere, in the city of Madras (now known as Chennai), I migrated to the Western Hemisphere, initially to Austin, Texas and then moved to Connecticut.
I am passionate about photography. I love driving, conversations, coding, hymns, and people, I enjoy tennis, strumming, scrabble, jigsaw puzzles, and needlework. My happy place is by the ocean.
I work as a Knowledge Consultant and freelance on the weekends under the pseudonym - “Your Virtual Guru”. I chuckle every time someone looks up my pseudonym and asks me if I am a spiritual guru. No, I haven’t hiked the Himalayas. I am just a joyfully enduring human, nurturing people by providing a safe place and affirming them into hope and love.
— Madras, India —
I was raised Anglican. Church was an integral part of my childhood. I worked hard at school during the week and spent my weekends enjoying the Sabbath rhythm. I attended a pentecostal congregation in my late teens. Taught Sunday school and played the electric guitar. Pursued advanced studies. Met the hubster. Married. Together, we embarked on our first trail - migrating to the Western Hemisphere!
— Austin, TX, USA —
We travelled 15,181 km away from the place we’ve known all our lives. We were in our early 20s, 20 weeks pregnant, 2 suitcases and 0 known faces. What were we thinking?!?! NOT thinking really, but those were the most adventurous days of our trail yet. We had Jesus. We had each other. Offspring 1 was born. We travelled from Niagara Falls to the Big Bend National Park and North Carolina to Colorado. We made some life time friends. The stay was short.
Austin, someday, we would like to trail back to you and put down our roots. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer…
— Connecticut, USA —
Place we’ve called home for almost two decades now.
Place where the Lord continued being our shepherd.
Place where we didn’t lack.
Place where we learned that our son was special.
Place where our daughter was born.
Place where we bought our first home and raised our kids.
Place where our son was baptized.
Place where our souls were restored.
Place where we walked through the valley of shadow of death.
Place where our hearts were fearful.
Place where we buried my dad.
Place where the Lord comforted us.
Place where the Lord anointed our head with oil.
Place where the Lord taught us to shabbat in the sacredness of gathering around the table.
Place where our cup runneth over.
Place where God’s goodness and mercy followed us.
Often, I look back with gratitude on how far we’ve come and how much we’ve gained ground.
“The joy of the Lord has been my strength...”
With that, I press on - centering, listening, forming, being, practicing, failing, pausing, receiving, healing, resting, returning, reflecting, celebrating…
